Self-Check Time II

A few weekends ago my niece who works for Hilton got a discounted room for a friend and me at an Embassy Suites near Love Field. My friend is burned out from work and volunteering; I needed to get away to. So we took a 24-hour personal retreat. She slept; I swam. She read; I wrote. Do you get away once in a while and take stock of your life? Why not plan a personal retreat? While you’re gone, check up on yourself. Are you… . Making enough time for your spiritual life? . Getting enough sleep every night? . Exercising regularly, including weights and stretching? . Surrounding yourself with a strong interpersonal community full of give and take? . Pursuing whatever education you might need to do the job you love? . Making good food choices? . Getting counseling if you need it to maintain your most important relationships? . Keeping your weight where it should be? . Breathing clean air and drinking clean water? . Making your friendships a high enough priority? What changes do you need to make so you can say “yes” to all of these?
